Meet Dr. Kelly

Dr. Tim Kelly graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry with Bachelor of Science degree in 1976, earned his Master of Science degree in Biophysics in 1978 and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. Dr. Kelly has a Master of Science degree from World Clinical Laser Institute and advanced certification in laser dentistry from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He also has a GPR.

Dr. Kelly remains at the forefront of his profession with advanced training in Cosmetic, Endodontic, Periodontic, Laser, and Pediatric Laser Dentistry, and received innovative instruction in Neuromuscular Dentistry at the famed Las Vegas Institute. A passion for learning and a commitment to exceptional patient care drive both Dr. Kelly and his team to devote 75 hours every year to continuing education.

A sought after lecturer, educator, and researcher in both the United States and Canada, Dr. Kelly was a dental laser instructor at the Biolase University, a member of the Biolase research and development team, and the Chief Clinical Examiner for Biolase Technologies Waterlase MD Turbo. Dr. Kelly also acted as Chief Clinical Examiner for laser research with Creighton University School of Dentistry and the Minnesota Laser Institute. I’m an FAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?

FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:

Complete over 500 credit hours of CE.
Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.
Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

Dedicated to serving his community, Dr. Kelly has provided charitable dental care since opening his practice and was previously the director of the Indian Chicano Dental Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska, a clinic offering pro bono dentistry to the Lakota Sioux Native American reservations.
