Cosmetic Dentistry in Rapid City

As your cosmetic dentist in Rapid City, SD, Dr. Kelly wants to help beautify your smile and your overall appearance. A smile always leaves a lasting impression. We believe that your appearance and aesthetics are an integral part of your dental treatment. Restoring oral health and functionality is our primary purpose of dentistry, but it can go hand in hand with aesthetics. Dental problems that may include uneven or misaligned teeth, protruding jaw, bite problems, or a chipped tooth when fixed, will not only enhance your appearance but also help greatly in the normal functioning of the mouth. When you know you look great, you feel confident and self-assured.

We all want attractive, beautiful teeth for a striking smile. Delivering that striking smile is our specialty. Our doctor, Tim Kelly, continually updates his cosmetic training to bring you the most current methods and technologies available.

Cosmetic dentistry may be as simple as repairing a single, damaged tooth, or as involved as a full mouth reconstruction. Regardless of the procedure, you will receive the utmost attention to detail.

We can help you attain dramatically whiter teeth as quickly as one brief in-office visit, or with an at-home system.

Bonding, Veneers, and Crowns

A composite resin bond in a shade to match your natural teeth (a direct restoration completed in our office) can be used to replace missing tooth structure or reshape a tooth.

Porcelain veneers are a type of indirect restoration (fabricated off-site at a lab). The dental veneer is a porcelain laminate that is adhesively bonded to the surface of a tooth to correct and repair chips and cracks and will improve a worn appearance or severe tooth discoloration. Veneers may also be recommended if you have gaps in your teeth or if you have not had success with teeth whitening.

A crown made of porcelain or gold restores a badly damaged tooth to like new appearance and function.

An inlay or onlay is also known as an indirect filling. Inlays and onlays made from porcelain or composite materials are a long-lasting yet cosmetic way to provide a “filling” to teeth with tooth decay or similar structural damage. Whereas dental fillings are molded into place within the mouth during a dental visit, inlays and onlays are created in a dental laboratory before being fitted and adhesively bonded into place.

Dental Implants

A missing or lost tooth can be replaced with a permanent bridge by which the artificial tooth is anchored to the crowns on either.

A missing tooth can also be replaced with a dental implant. These are artificial tooth root replacements that are used as a part of prosthetic (artificial replacement) dentistry in order to compensate for tooth loss. Often the result is not only an enhanced smile but also a more youthful appearance, since missing teeth cause the face to collapse, making you look older.

Orthodontic Treatment With ClearCorrect®

ClearCorrect® is a clear, comfortable, removable orthodontic alternative to metal bands and wires. We use it to straighten teeth and improve the occlusion which will help with your bite. The treatment time can be as short as six months.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full mouth reconstruction is primarily to improve the aesthetic appearance of your smile. At times we may discover that there is a need to provide necessary treatment to correct functional problems with your bite, muscles, teeth, and bone structure. If you need full mouth reconstruction, the materials available today make it possible to provide you with durable, functional, and clinically sound treatments that look natural. An extensive aesthetic treatment can generally be completed in as few as two visits or over a period of several weeks.

We take your cosmetic dentistry concerns seriously. Cosmetic dentistry offers many options for people who are unhappy with their smiles. Our well-qualified, caring staff will describe options and financing. Let us show you how cosmetic dentistry can change your look and your life!
